Alyssa Whitney

Alyssa Whitney

Alyssa passed on December 24, 2019 from a rare disease called Systemic Scleroderma. Here is a beautiful FB post written by her daughter, Bryanna Whitney on December 29, 2019

"My mom Alyssa Whitney passed away on Christmas Eve. It’s hard to believe, even though I was right there with her. She was dispelling heartfelt wisdom, cracking jokes, and making mischief all through her last days, despite her suffering.
She may have only lived 57 years, but she packed them full to the brim. Major gratitude to my stepdad Eric Parks who spent the past many years turning her wild dreams into realities, including in recent days when those wild dreams were just to sneak out of the hospital to visit her puppies or snack on contraband.

I’ll miss her a whole lot. Here’s to hoping she’s been met with open arms by our loved ones already on the other side."

I was so so sorry to learn of Alyssa's passing.  She was always so full of light and laughter and energy in high school, and it seemed like she carried those qualities into coping with her final illness.  The world has lost a good one.  RIP Alyssa.
